CBSE CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release on its official website ctet.nic.in the OMR Answer Sheet and Answer Key of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 (CTET 2024) soon.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had conducted the CTET 2024 on Sunday January 21, 2024. The Admit Card for the same was released on the official website on January 18, 2024.
The examination was held at 3,418 test centres in 135 cities across India.
The CBSE has not confirmed any exact date and time to publish the candidates OMR Answer Sheet and CTET 2024 Answer Keys. It will however release them any time soon - most likely in the first or second week of the next month February 2024.
Once released, the CTET OMR Answer Sheet and CTET 2024 Answer Key will be available for download on the official website “ctet.nic.in” for two to three days.
During this period, the candidates will be required to submit objections and errors if any in the CTET Answer Key or OMR Answer Sheet, also called as Candidate Response Sheet.
The candidates are required to pay a prescribed fee to challenge the CTET Answer Keys or raise objections.
“The Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the answer(s) with a non-refundable prescribed fee of Rs.1000/- per question as processing charges, in case they are not satisfied with any of the answer(s)”, the CBSE said in the CTET Information Bulletin.
“Only paid challenges made during stipulated time will be considered. Challenges without payment of fee and those submitted on any other medium (viz. email/letter/representation) will not be considered”, the CBSE said.
With the help of answer key and OMR answer sheet, also called as recorded response of candidates, the candidates will be able to assess their CTET score before the result is declared.
Candidates should also note that the CBSE will display Provisional Answer Key first. After assessing the objections raised by the candidates it will release the Final Answer Keys. The CTET result will be prepared based on the CTET Final Answer Key.
“The subject experts will examine all the challenges received and then the final answer keys will be prepared by them. The result will be declared according to the final answer keys. In case challenge on answer key(s) is accepted by the subject expert(s), the amount will be refunded to concerned candidate after declaration of result”, the CBSE said.
The CBSE has also not confirmed the date and time to display the final answer key. It will however release the final answer key on the day or a day before of CTET result announcement.
Candidates can also get the photocopy of their OMR answer sheet of CTET along with calculation sheet after the CTET result is announced.
“After declaration of result, the candidates may seek photocopy of their OMR answer sheet of CTET along with calculation sheet by paying fee of Rs.500/- per OMR, by way of Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any Nationalized Bank and payable at Delhi”, CBSE said.
Candidates should note that the CTET 2024 Result will be declared by the end of February 2024 (Tentatively), according to CTET notification.
For classes 1 to 5, Paper 1 is used to assess teacher eligibility, and for classes 6 to 8, Paper 2 is used. Close to 27 lakh teachers had appeared for the CTET 2024. Official figures show that 9,58,193 candidates had enrolled for Paper 1, while 17,35,333 applications were submitted for Paper 2.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test compromises of two papers. Paper I for candidates who wish to opt classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for candidates who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8. The CTET question papers are objective in nature and there are multiple options for every question in the two papers.
