New Delhi: Narendra Modi of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Sunday June 09, 2024 took oath as Prime Minister for a third term but with reduced power as compared to his last two terms.
The BJP failed to win enough seat needed to form a government in New Delhi though it emerged as the single largest party with 240 seats.
A minimum of 273 MPs are necessary to form a government with simple majority.
