Ulema Address Anti-Terrorism Conference At Kanpur

At Parade Ground in the well-known industrial city of Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur, an anti-terrorism conference was organized today. Overflowing crowd of people here reaffirmed two facts: one, Muslim community strongly hates terrorism and two, all of them respond to a single call from Ulema even to this date. It was a memorable event when Darul Uloom Deoband had organized an anti-terrorism conference in the supervision of the president of Jamiat Ulama Hind (JUH) and Nazim-e-Ta’leemat of Darul Uloom Deoband Maulana Arshad Madani last month. The conference at Kanpur was a sequel to that conference. Kanpur Conference opened with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhyuddin.

In his presidential address, the moving spirit of the anti-terrorism conference Maulana Mufti Manzoor Ahmad Kanpuri said anti-Muslim conspiracies are being hatched globally on a large scale. Muslim youths are being sentenced in jails on pretext of terrorism whereas this is a fact that USA and Israel are the founder of terrorism. Mufti Manzoor said demolition of WTO towers was a intrigue plotted by Jewish and US lobby and US administration himself had bulldozed these towers wherein Jewish agencies played a key role as it is corroborated by the fact that all of the four thousand Jews working there had suddenly gone on leave on that day and that whereas Muslims had considerable share in the business carried on in these towers, Jews had withdrawn their shares. Through this conspiracy, the Jews and Us government aimed at playing both the pleader and the jury.

“On the same pattern, USA tried to prove that terrorism is being promoted in Iraq and Afghanistan and on this pretext, they took these countries as their hostages”, Qazi of the city continued, “America killed a quarter million Muslims in the ‘First Gulf War’. Twenty five hundred have been killed only in US attacks in Afghanistan and total number of killings in Iraq has crossed half a million. What could be any greater terrorism other than that revealed by these statistics? ” Expressing his apprehension about security of Aqsa Mosque, Mufti Manzoor said killings and vandalism against Muslims in Palestine is in itself an extreme of terrorism and those simpletons who are supporting these tyrant and terrorist countries, in fact, they are also culprits of terrorism. On the problem of communalism, ha said Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh supports terrorists and its direct evidence comes from its support to Modi government in Gujarat. Finally, he advised Muslims to remain watchful and adhere to the path ordained by Allah.

JUH president and special guest in this session of the conference Maulana Arshad Madani said terrorism is not an issue exclusively for Muslims rather it is an issue for entire country, so, we have to awaken those in deep slumber. What is worth pondering for us is the fact that communalism is rising in this country and the way the communal forces are overpowering secular forces that is not auspicious for the country. He said more than twenty thousand, big and small, riots occurred in India and Muslims were slashed like carrots and radishes in these riots. Muslims’ wealth worth trillions of rupees was destroyed in riots and perhaps there was not even a single city where Muslim blood was not splashed like water. Defending religious Madrasas and their peaceful role, Maulana Arshad Madani said there must be some limit to opposition.
