Protest near channel office, at the behest of VHP leaders: Report
New Delhi: Condemning the recent attack on the head office of a leading TV news channel by the RSS workers, Anhad, today demanded an immediate ban on RSS and all its front organisations and wings.
Shabnam Hashmi of Anhad, in a statement released to the press, said: ''It is widely known that the RSS, which claims to be a cultural outfit, is the umbrella organisation of the entire Sangh Parivar, and the political vanguard of the family. It is aligned symbiotically with VHP/Bajrang Dal. It has thousands of branches which have been at the forefront of not just spreading communalised-hate propaganda but also in carrying out various kinds of systematic and underground terror and violent activities especially through Abhinav Bharat, VHP and Bajrang Dal.''
The sting operation carried out and stories covered by various media houses show that the RSS think-tank connived in the October 11, 2007 bomb blast at Ajmer Sharif shrine, the statement read, listing other cases like Malegaon blast, Samjhauta Express blast where the involvement of RSS has been explicitly talked about.
Besides an immediate ban on RSS and its wings, the organisation demanded for an urgent, impartial and time-bound inquiry in all terror bomb blast cases and immediate release of Muslim boys who had been arrested in cases in which the involvement of RSS has now been unearthed.
Anhad has garnered the support of various organisations of the minority community and professors of various universities, it said.
