Mumbai:
The British Council will organise a two-day education exhibition
here starting Saturday where students can meet representatives of
various universities in the United Kingdom, an official said
Thursday.
"Indian students represent the second largest number of
international students in higher education in UK. Over 51,000
students are currently studying there and the number is growing at
a rate of 15-18 percent annually," a spokesperson for the
exhibition said.
Sixty-eight institutions, including Birmingham, Southampton and
Manchester universities, will participate at the 'Education UK
Exhibition' at the Taj Lands End, Bandra, he said.
The exhibition will cater to students interested in diploma,
undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Information about cost,
scholarships and the student visa process will also be available.
The exhibition will also be held in Kolkata, New Delhi, Vadodara,
Kochi and Coimbatore.
More than ten thousand students are expected to visit the
exhibitions all over India, the official said.
