qualify for PhD/MPhil courses at AMU

Aligrah:
The Committee for Advance Studies and Research (CASR) of the
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has approved 361 PhD/M.Phil admissions
including 46 foreign students in the current academic session in
its faculties of Social Sciences, Arts, Science, Life Sciences and
Agricultural Sciences. The meeting was chaired by the Vice
Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis.
The CASR has approved in all 314 PhD and 47 M. Phil. candidates
for admission. The list also includes 32 JRF and 17 NET qualified
candidates.
The CASR has reviewed the research programme of these faculties
and appointed two committees to study and report as how to improve
the quality of PhD research in the faculty of Social Sciences and
Faculty of Science and increase the number of PhD produced every
year in the two research steams. The Committee has been given one
month time to submit their report.
