New Delhi: Following
are the poll-related details for the five states scheduled to
elect new assemblies early next year.
- Punjab: Voting on Jan 30, 2012. Constituencies: 117, voters:
17.4 million, polling stations: 19,724,
- Uttarakhand: Voting on Jan 30, 2012. Constituencies: 70, voters:
5.7 million, polling stations: 9,744
- Manipur: Voting on Jan 28, 2012. Constituencies: 60, voters: 1.6
million, polling stations: 2,325
- Goa: Voting on March 3. Constituencies: 40, voters: one million,
polling stations: 1,612
- Uttar Pradesh: Seven phased voting on Feb 4, 8, 11, 15, 19, 23
and 28. Constituencies: 403, voters: 111.9 million, polling
stations: 128,112.
