Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim
University has decided to establish a “Central Placement Cell” to
provide better job opportunities to the students.
The decision was taken in a consultative meeting with the Deans of
faculties, Principals of the Colleges and statutory officers of
the University chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul
Azis.
A three-member committee is constituted to draft the detailed
project report. The members of the Committee are Prof. Pervez
Mustajab, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Jawaid Akhtar, Dean,
Faculty of Management and Prof. Akhtar Haseeb, OSD (Development).
The Vice Chancellor said that two faculty members from each
faculty will be included in the Central Placement Cell. The next
meeting of the Central Placement Cell will be held on July 5,
2011.
In this meeting, the progress regarding the preparation of Self
Study Report pertaining to NAAC was also discussed and the Vice
Chancellor urged the members to move on fast track basis.
