Kejriwal greeted with black flags, heckled

Sunday November 06, 2011 02:17:33 PM, IANS

Nagpur: Key Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal was greeted with black flags, heckled and booed at a meeting held here Sunday morning, a police officer said.

The trouble erupted after some activists, reportedly belonging to Ghantanad Sanstha took objections to Kejriwal making anti-government statements during the course of his speech.

The activists started booing Kejriwal and shouted slogans even as Team Anna supporters retaliated.

A scuffle reportedly ensued between supporters of both Ghantanad Sanstha and Team Anna, though police have denied it.

Attempting to prevent the situation from escalating further, police stepped in and detained at least 15 of them, an officer of the Sita-Bardi Police Station said.
