Unique two-headed baby boy born in MP

Bhopal: A unique two-headed baby boy
has been born to a woman, resident of Ghatod village near Dhar
town, about 300 km from Bhopal, on Tuesday evening which has
surprised one and all.
According to gynaecologist Dr. Asha Pavayya, who helped in
delivering the child, the woman named Alka was admitted in a
private hospital for child birth. Since the woman was not in good
state of health a caesarean operation was performed on her to
deliver the child. The doctor said that seeing the two-headed boy
being born she herself was stunned and the child cried with its
two mouths.
Dr. Asha Pavayya said it is a rare of the rarest and in thousands
of clinical cases such unique births take place. The new-born baby
is completely healthy and will now be send for treatment at higher
advanced centers. At present the child is under the care of
paediatrician Dr. Botham, she added.
It may be pointed here that Dhar is located in the Malwa region of
western Madhya Pradesh state in central India. It is the
administrative headquarters of Dhar District. The town is located
33 miles (53 km) west of Mhow, 908 ft (277 m) above sea level.
