Bhopal: A unique two-headed baby boy has been born to a woman, resident of Ghatod village near Dhar town, about 300 km from Bhopal, on Tuesday evening which has surprised one and all.

According to gynaecologist Dr. Asha Pavayya, who helped in delivering the child, the woman named Alka was admitted in a private hospital for child birth. Since the woman was not in good state of health a caesarean operation was performed on her to deliver the child. The doctor said that seeing the two-headed boy being born she herself was stunned and the child cried with its two mouths.

Dr. Asha Pavayya said it is a rare of the rarest and in thousands of clinical cases such unique births take place. The new-born baby is completely healthy and will now be send for treatment at higher advanced centers. At present the child is under the care of paediatrician Dr. Botham, she added.

It may be pointed here that Dhar is located in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh state in central India. It is the administrative headquarters of Dhar District. The town is located 33 miles (53 km) west of Mhow, 908 ft (277 m) above sea level.
