Huge demand for Smart Business Centres at
Technopark third phase

Thiruvananthapuram: The third phase of Technopark campus has drawn a huge response
from small companies (smart business centres) with two floors of
the building gone to small IT companies.
The third phase consists of twin towers, Aanamudi and Ponmudi,
which have been named after two mountain peaks in the state. It
has a builtup area of one million square feet.
"Smart Business Centres have been set up in the second and third
floors of the second tower and it has seating capacities of
minimum 18 and maximum 50. There are currently 22 Smart Business
Centres and all have been allotted to various companies. We have
decided to set up another floor due to the increasing demands for
small space," said Technopark Sr. Business Development Manager, M
Vasudevan.
The third phase has being developed as both Special Economic Zone
as well as Non Special Economic Zone.
Shopping Malls, commercial complex, executive hotel facilities,
star hotels, convention center and multiplex are the main
attractions in Technopark Phase III.
"Once Phase III is fully operational, Technopark will have a total
of 7.1 million square feet of built up area (Phase I, Phase II,
Phase III and the building at Kollam Technopark inclusive), making
the park the biggest IT park in the country. Once fully occupied,
Technopark Phase III will provide direct employment to over 75000
IT professionals and indirect employment to over three lakh
people," said Technopark CEO, K.G. Girish Babu.
Some of the prominent names which have taken up space at the third
phase are HCL, Oracle and CapGemini.
Technopark has more than 280 companies providing direct employment
to more than 40,000 IT/ITES professionals and 150,000 people
indirectly.
