Malegaon: Marshal Battery & Inverter
Point is exactly the same place from where Shabbir Ahmed
Masihullah (38) was picked up by the police in August 2006 and
later chargesheeted in the 2006 Malegaon blast case. Five years
and a year after being released on bail, he restarted his business
but the place has now become famous more as a healing point for
arthritis
patients than as a sales counter for batteries and
inverters.
Shabbir after getting bail in November 2011, while reviving the
business he was in before being arrested, partitioned his shop in
such a way that half is reserved for the battery and inverter
business whereas the other half is used for the local and outside
patients who come from faraway places like Mumbai, Bhiwandi,
Aurangabad, Pune, Dhule and Chalisgaon for a treatment.
“Besides running my regular
business, I treat 12-15 patients daily. Most of these patients are
suffering from knee joint, shoulder, neck, spinal and other
neurological pains. I use the Acupressure technique I learnt in
jail to provide them relief from the pain. Acupressure is very
effective in such cases for immediate relief and also for complete
healing provided a patient completes the entire course involving
4-5 sessions”, he said while talking to ummid.com.

Interestingly, even in Malegaon, some of his patients are those,
who were in some way or the other, responsible for sending him to
jail. Shabbir, however, said he used to treat them with the same
attention and kindness that were reserved for others. |
To the surprise of most of the patients, the technique is working
wonderfully well. Jamil Karanti, a local businessman, who brought
his close kin to Shabbir’s “clinic” for a treatment said that the
result was astonishing for him.
“I had already shown my niece to
other places before coming here. But, it was within five sessions
here, she got her pain completely eradicated”, he said.
An expert in the Acupressure – an alternative medicine and Chinese
technique, Shabbir was first introduced to the technique when he
saw a Thane based physiotherapist who was lodged in Mumbai’s
Arthur Road Jail in a cheque bounce case, applying the method on
the jail inmates who were suffering from neurological and other
pain.
“Jail is a place where nobody cares about anyone. But, this man
though was a detainee like us, was very caring and used to apply
the technique on jail inmates whenever he would see them suffering
from any kind of pain”, Shabbir recalled.
Impressed, Shabbir requested him for a training. After the release
of the Thane based expert from the jail, the “mission” was taken
over by him. Soon, he became so popular that the
Superintendent of Arthur Road Jail, who suffered from neck-pain,
came for the needed sessions and got his pain completely healed.
Interestingly, even in Malegaon, some of his patients are those,
who were in some way or the other, responsible for sending him to
jail. Shabbir, however, said he used to treat them with the same
attention and kindness that were reserved for others.
“It appears to me that the technique which I learnt in jail is
gifted to me by Allah, the Almighty. I do not charge anything for the
treatment. I do it as a charity. Some of the people who are
coming to me though are police personnel and were responsible for
my sufferings. But, I still treat them with the same kindness as I
do not have any kind of grudge against them”, he said.
