JNU, DU English departments among world's top 100

Friday May 10, 2013 10:34:40 PM, IANS

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University's Center of English Studies has once again been ranked amidst the top 100 English departments in the world by prestigious QS World University Rankings 2013.

The University of Oxford tops the list followed by Cambridge, and Harvard University.

JNU comes in the 51-100 rank category.

"This is no mean achievement, and we are all justifiably very proud and very happy at the Centre. However, we are humbled too at this consistent recognition that our Centre has been getting internationally, and we hope to work even harder and attain even higher global recognition," said a statement from the Centre for English Studies.
