India Bike Week 2014 to be held in Goa Jan 17-18

The second edition of the India Bike Week (IBW), which brings together bikers, bikes, music and entertainment, will be held in Goa Jan 17-18, 2014, an announcement said.

The event, organised by festival planners Seventy Event Media Group and travel and lifestyle channel Fox Traveller, is said to be the biggest congregation of bikers in the country.

Modelled on the Sturgis Motorcycle rally in South Dakota (US) that attracts thousands of bikers every year, IBW brings together biking fans to soak in Indian and international biking trends, new bikes launches, products and accessories, music and entertainment.

"We've been working all year to create the second India Bike Week, and it's looking amazing already. In 2014, it's going to be a great party, and we're talking to the hundreds of bike clubs in India, as well as international bikers, brands, customisers bike and accessory manufacturers, and musicians to make this an amazing week. It'll be a one hell of a ride," Martin da Costa, CEO, 70 EMG, said in a statement.

In 2013, over 6,000 bike enthusiasts are said to have attended IBW. The attendance is likely to be more in the new edition, the entry ticket to which is priced at Rs.3,000. An early bird discount of 10 percent is available till Oct 31.

IBW 2014 will celebrate individuality and freedom, words which are synonyms with biking and bikers, says Keertan Adyanthaya, managing director- FOX International Channels.

"India Bike Week will personify everything that is close to a biker's heart - from rock music to some of the coolest and meanest biking machines. We hope to inspire a new generation of bikers and make India Bike week an annual property for the biker community in India," he added.
