Madrasa graduate elected President of JNU's Kaveri Hostel

For the first time in the history of New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), a Madrasa graduate has been elected as the President of the prestigious Kaveri Hostel.

Mohammad Ahmed Abdullah Sanabuli, who won the election held Sunday was earlier elected for the post of Secretary in the year 2009 and 2010.

A graduate from New Delhi's Jamia Islamia Sanabul, Mohammad Ahmed Abdullah is a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

He was recently conferred Best Student of the Year Award by the President of India, Pranab Mukherji.

He hails from district Balrampur of Uttar Pradesh.
