Mumbai: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Delhi has invited applications for admission to the new diploma course in Urdu journalism, which was launched in the 124th meeting of the Executive Council of IIMC June 26.
The decision to launch the course in Urdu journalism was taken to promote capabilities of working journalists in the Urdu language, targeting at capacity building and enhancing the skills of Urdu journalism practitioners.
The IIMC has alloted a total of 25 seats for the course. Eligibility Criteria is a Bachelor degree in any discipline with good understanding of Urdu.
Selection will be done on the basis of the Entrance Examination to be held at IIMC, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, JNU New Campus, New Delhi on August 24, 2014.
Entrance test will be followed by personal interview to be held in second week of September. Dates will be intimated on IIMC website with roll number and name of candidates who clear the written Entrance Examination.
