
Aligarh: The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is among top colleges of India and is ranked 15 whereas the faculty of law is at number six, according to the latest ranking released by the India Today-Nielsen Ranking of Best Medical Colleges of India-2014 Wednesday.
The India Today has given fifteenth rank to AMU's JN Medical College as against the twenty-fifth rank in 2007. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has secured the first position.
Professor S Bano, Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Professor Tariq Mansoor, Principal, JN Medical College has expressed happiness on the achievement and urged the faculty members and staff of the college to make effort to achieve higher ranking.
The survey by the same has put the faculty of law of Aligarh Muslim University at number six as against tenth position it held in 2013 ranking.
The National Law School of Indian University, Bangalore has secured the first position while the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University, Hyderabad failed to secure its first position this year. It secured the second position.
