SRK launched the special issue on Tuesday at the "Top Indian Leaders" event in Emirates. The actor has been ranked on top spot for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

"Forbes Middle-East made me feel special with their special edition cover story on my work in entertainment. Off to Dubai for the launch. Thank you all," Shahrukh Khan posted on his Twitter handle.

"On a chopper to one of my favourite places in the Emirates...Ras Al Khaimah....been some time since my last visit. Snow in the Desert."

Around 170 individuals are listed in the top Indian leaders list, according to Emirates 24/7. The list was compiled after extensive and detailed research into Indian business people that are residing or operating their business in the Arab country.

A gala dinner and awards ceremony was organised in the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers which was attended by SRK.

Last year, Khan topped the Forbes India's "Celebrity 100" list. Khan was ranked as the most powerful and highest earning celebrity in India last year.

The "Chennai Express" actor topped the list for the second consecutive time. He retained the number one position with earnings worth ₹220.5 crore due to "Chennai Express".

The calculation for the top list was done on the basis of the celebrities' income from entertainment and endorsement deals in the period starting from 1 October 2012 to 30 September 2013, the Forbes India reported. The stars' fame quotient is also taken into consideration. [International Business Times]
