JEE Main April 2016 results likely to be declared on April 27

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main on April 27 on its official website, according to the information bulletin published online.

The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main, 4th conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) so far, was held on April 03, 2016 and April 10, 2016

The JEE Main was conducted in two modes. While the pen and paper mode was held on April 3rd, Computer based JEE Main was held on April 9th and 10th.

It was the first time the CBSE had provided pen and pencil to the candidates.

In order to check the results, the candidates should visit the official website jeemain.nic.in.

The candidates should click on the suitable link and enter the requisite details. After submitting the same, the results will be displayed on the screen.

Around 12 lakh students appeared for the examination in 129 cities.

The Engineering Entrance exam was held to shortlist the candidates seeking admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions.

After JEE Main, the candidates will appear for the JEE Advanced. The registrations for JEE Advance will begin from April 29 and will end on May 4.

The Board used different sets of question papers on the different dates of examination.

The subject experts, who had prepared these question papers, had certified that the entire syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry had been covered in each question set by dividing the syllabus of each subject into appropriate number of units and choosing equal number of questions from each unit.

Further, in every percentage of easy, medium and difficult questions. This ensured the same difficulty level of each set of question paper for this year i.e. 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
