Aligarh: The Science Club of Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organized the annual Science Exhibition, “Wings of Wisdom” in which 23 teams from 8 Schools participated and presented their science models and charts.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, School Education, appreciated the efforts of organisers and participating teams.
Exhorted young students to focus on studies and participate in competitions without bothering about result, he said, "Sustained efforts bear fruits sooner or later."
Prof. Abid Ali Khan, Assistant Director, School Education graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
The Principal of Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School Maj S M Mustafa (Retd) accorded a warm welcome to the guests and apprised them of the hard work put in by students and teachers in making the exhibition a grand success.
Prof Alim H Naqvi, Prof Mohammad Shakir and Dr Jafar Ali Abedi judged the science models, which included the first prize winning model ‘Internet of Things’, presented by Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School.
The second prize went to AMU City School while the third prize was again won by Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School under working model category. A consolation prize was also given to the host school.
In non-working model category, ‘Mechanism of Diabetes’ of ABK (Girls) School won the first prize while Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys) received the second, third and a consolation prize winners for its various models.
In Poster Making Category, first and second prizes went to Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School whereas ABK (Boys) School received the third prize. A consolation prize was given to Senior Secondary School (Girls).
Dr. Arib Ali Khan, Warden-in-Charge, Allama Iqbal Boarding House, Mr. Nihal Saghar, Mr. Musharraf Ali and Dr Mohd Younus Ali Khan were present on the occasion.
Mrs. Naghma, Incharge of Science Club, along with her colleagues, Mrs. Taiyaba Azhar, Mrs. Zainab Arjumand Waseem, Mr. Adil Zia, Sohaib Akhtar, Secretary, Joel Varghese, Joint Secretary, Md. Hassan Arif, Suhail Ahmad Khan, Abdur Rahman and Zameeruddin Hashmi worked tirelessly to make the event a big success.
