Mumbai: Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, the technology giant's next Mi 6 flagship smartphone, will start at a price of Rs 19,000/- and Rs 24,700/- respectively. Both the models will be launched most probably on April 11, 2017, reports leaked online claimed according to GizChina.
The launch of the two models in April will be days after Samsung unveils their Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus models.
GizChina in its report said the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched in 4GB of RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB variants priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 19,000), CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 21,800) and CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 25,600) respectively.
The bigger Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, on the other hand is tipped to be be offered in 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB, which according to the leaked report will be priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 24,700), CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 28,500) and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 33,200) respectively.
In the absence of an official confirmation, it is difficult to verfiy the prices and the configuration of the upcoming Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus Xiaomi smartphones. But, if the prices leaked are true then the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6 will possibly be the most affordable Snapdragon 835 smartphone ever.
However the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant could be equipped with a Snapdragon 821 SoC, unlike the other two that will surely use the almighty Snapdragon 835 SoC, the report said.
Xiaomi launched its low-cost but feature rich Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone on March 23. Some 250,000 phones were claimed within minutes of the launch and more than one million people showed interest selecting "Notify" option, according to the reports.
