Bengaluru: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has declared online the results of the Senior School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) 2017 exam at 03:00 pm today i.e. Friday May 12, 2017 on its official website.
The results were announced by Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait.
Out of the total 8.5 lakh candidates, who appeared to the exam, 5.8 lakh candidates cleared the exam held in March 2017 with the overall pass percentage of Karnataka SSLC exams 2017 standing at 67.87 %.
Three students bagged 625/625 marks in the exams. They are - Sumanth Hegde of MES Kishore Kendra, Bengaluru, Poornananda of Saint Joachim High School, Puttur and Pallavi Shiragatti of SRA Composite Junior College, Bagalkot.
Rajan from Bhadravathi had earlier scored 625 out of 625 marks and held so far the record of scoring 100% marks in Karnataka SSLC exams.
A total of 924 schools scored 100% results while 60 schools have zero passes.
Maintaining the trend like every year, girls with a pass percent of 74.08 have outshined the boys with a pass percent of 62.42.
Rural students with 74.12 percent have outshined the boys which stood at 72.18 percent.
The district that secured the highest number of passes is Udupi which has secured 84.23 percent passes. The district with the lowest passes is Bidar with 62.2 percent passes.

The Karanataka SSLC 2017 exam was held from March 30 to April 12. Over 8.49 lakh students took the examination at 3,082 centres.
Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board came in to existence in the year 1966, has been conducting SSLC and other examinations. Every year the student strength is increasing tremendously.
Every year in April about 8.50 Lakhs and in June 1.50 Lakhs students are appearing for the SSLC examinations.
The Karnataka board had decalred PUC 2017 results on Thursday May 11, 2017.
Over 8.5 lakh students had appeared for the Kerala SSLC 2016 exam and the state had recorded a pass percentage of 79.16%. Ranjan S was Karnataka SSLC State Topper in 2016.
The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and the results, has set up divisional offices of the Board. This decentralization caters to the need of the student needs at their proximity. The board is now providing Admission Tickets with student photographs and major breakthrough in this venture is the photos being used in the repeaters Admission Tickets also.
The board has ventured to conduct the supplementary examination for the failed candidates of the examination of March in June month of every year itself; this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. This process was introduced first time in the country.
