Tamil Nadu Class 12 HSC +2 Examination results 2017 declared at tnresults.nic.in, Pass percentage 92.1%

The Tamil Nadu State Board of Secondary Education (TNBSE) has declared online the Class 12 i.e. HSC +2 exam results 2017 on its official website today i.e. Friday May 12 at 10:00 am in the morning. TN Plus 2 results 2017 are now online and students can access them at tnresults.nic.in.

The overall pass percentage was 92.1%, a marginal increase of 0.7% from last year. While the pass percentage for girls was 94.5%, it was 89.3% for boys.

A total of 8.93 lakh students appeared for the examination through schools.

A day before the announcement of Plus Two results, the School Education Department has decided to end the practice of ranking students at the State and district levels in Plus Two and SSLC exams with a view to providing relief to students going through high stress levels.

The department, however, released the details of centums scored in each subject. Like last year, noone bagged centum in languages.

A total of 187 students were awarded centum in physics, as opposed to just five last year.

Commerce and economics subjects saw more centums, 8301 and 1717 respectively.

The TNBSE XII board Plus Two exam results 2017 are available on the official website "tnresults.nic.in" of Tamil Nadu state board of secondary education as well as on the board's associate websites like IndiaResults.

Students are requested to keep all their necessary board exam details ready such as the official roll number, candidate name and Date of birth handy.

Follow the simple steps provided below to easily access their Tamil Nadu board Plus two Class 12th board result 2017

  1. Visit the official website "tnresults.nic.in".
  2. Enter your Registration number
  3. Enter Date of Birth in correct format
  4. Click on "Get Marks"
  5. Download and then take a printout of the same.

The Tamil Nadu board had earlier posted a message on the result website saying the TN board Plus 2 results will be declared on Friday at 10 am.

"HSC +2 Examination Results Expected on 12th May 2017 at 10:00 Hrs", Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu said in a message displayed on its website.

The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination 2017 were conducted from March 02 to March 31, 2017 at 143 exam centres across the state. As per the board statistics, the maximum number of students wrote examination in the Tamil Medium.

The TNBSE Class 12 Plus Two results in 2016 were declared on May 17. A total of 8,33,682 students had appeared for the 2016 exam and the pass percentage was 91.4%.
