JEE Advanced 2019: A detailed notification containing JEE Advanced 2019 Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit, Last Date of Application, JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Schedule and other details will be released soon, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee said Thursday.
"We are in the final stage of preparing the notification and JEE Advanced 2019 brochure. JEE Advanced 2019 detailed notification and brochure will be released any time by the end of this month or maximum by the first week of February", an IIT Roorkeee official said while talking to ummid.com.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee had earlier announced that the JEE Advanced 2019 will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019.
Registration for JEE Advanced normally begins after JEE Main results are out. JEE Main is the qualifying exam for the students to appear for JEE Advanced - a mandatory test for admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded institutions.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum.
In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to pursue B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs B. Tech. students also have the option to pursue Interdisciplinary Dual Degree, with Bachelors in parent Department and Masters in some other Department.
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main in online mode for the first time. JEE Main is also being conducted twice a year from this year. The first JEE Main 2019 was successfully conducted from January 06 to January 12. The JEE Main 2019 (First) result was declared on January 19, 2019.
The NTA will hold JEE Main 2019 (Second) from April 06 to April 20, 2019. If a candidate appears in both the test, better of the two scores will be considered for admission to JEE Advanced.
