Hajj 2020: Haj Committee of India has started from Thursday October 10, 2019 receiving Hajj Application Form 2020 from pilgrims who are planning Haj travel in 2020 i.e. 1441 AH.
Pilgrims should note that from this year onwards, Hajj Application Process is fully online. The Haj Committee of India will not receive any application offline. A pilgrim should apply for Hajj 2020 in Online Mode through Haj Committee of India official website, through State Haj Committee offices or personally using own computer and Haj Application App.
However, Haj pilgrims can pay the processing fee of Rs.300/- either Online through Haj Committee of India website or offline directly in banks.
For each applicant, other than infant, a non- refundable processing fee of Rs.300/- is to be paid. Payment can be made either:
For payment at any of the above bank branches, pilgrims are required to use pink colour Pay In Slip available at the Google Playstore. The same can also be downloaded from website of HCoI.

It is to be noted that Rs.200/- out of the non-refundable processing fee will be paid to State Haj Committees.
Pilgrims should note that the last date to apply for Haj 2020 is November 10, 2019.

Since people applying through Haj Committee of India exceed the Haj Quota, Haj Committee of India conducts Qurrah or Haj Draw of lots to prepare the final list. Haj quota is allotted based on the population of Muslims in various states of the country.
The Haj Committe of India will later publish details of Haj 2020 flight schedule and details of Haj 2020 embarkation points. In 2019, pilgrims embarked on Haj from 22 embarkation points.
Hajj is the annual ritual performed in the month of Dhul Hijjah to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. It coincides with Eid al Adha.
The likely date of Hajj 2020 is July 27 or 28, 2020, corresponding to 10th of Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH. As the Islamic calendar is based on lunar system, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
