Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2020): Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Delhi, the organizing institute to conduct Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020, will open the Application Correction Window today i.e. Tuesday October 15.
Candidates who have already registered for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 can make minor changes when the link for Application Correction Window is made active today on appsgate.iitd.ac.in.
"Candidates please note that window for minor corrections (name, father's name, college name etc.) will open from 15th October", IIT Delhi said a single line message posted on GATE 2020 official website gate.iitd.ac.in.
Candidates should note that they need to log-in using Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password to make correction in their application form.
IIT Delhi had earlier said once submitted the candidates will not be allowed to make any change or correction in their application forms. It however now said that candidates will be allowed to make minor changes. IIT Delhi has also not mentioned any last date for application correction.
GATE 2020 will be held between Februray 01 to February 09, 2020. GATE 2019 result will be declared on March 16, 2019.
The last date to apply for GATE 2020 was earlier fixed as Septmeber 24. Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Delhi had earlier extended the last date to apply for the exam to September 28, 2019.
"Because of heavy traffic load in the GATE application portal, the last date of application with normal fees has been extended up to 28th September", IIT Delhi said.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2020 will be conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th of February 2020. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).
There is no age limit to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). A graduate in B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm, B. Arch, B.Sc. (Research)/ B.S, Pharm. D. (after 10+2), M. Sc./ M.A./MCA or equivalent, Int. M.E./ M.Tech. (Post-B.Sc.), Int. M.E./ M.Tech. or Dual Degree(after Diploma or 10+2) and other such exams can appear for GATE. Candidates in final year can also appear for GATE subject to the condition mentioned on GATE website.
After the successful registration and application fee submission, all registered candidates will be issued Admit Cards bu IIT Delhi. The Admit Card will be issued to the candidates on January 03, 2020. Candidates have to enter their enrollment ID and password to download their GATE 2020 Admit Card.
