New Delhi: Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for entrance examinations to JNU, IGNOU PhD, hotel management to June 30.
Human Resource Development minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, "In view of the appeals made by the students and the difficult situation arising out of corona pandemic, I have advised the director general of National Testing Agency to extend the last date for submission of online applications for various examinations."
The date for submission of online application forms for IGNOU PhD, MBA, UGC NET, Post-graduation programmes of Ministry of AYUSH, Joint UGC NET and ICAR entrance examinations held by Jawaharlal Nehru University has been extended till June 30.
Earlier, the last date for submission of application forms for these courses was April 30.
The Human Resource Development ministry has taken this step so that all students can apply for these exams easily. They will no longer have to travel to other cities to take the entrance exams.
This facility has also been extended to entrance examinations for various academic programmes, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). According to the National Testing Agency, the joint entrance examination for hotel management was earlier scheduled on June 22.
Now it has been postponed till further notice.
