UPSC Civil Services 2020: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed because of the Coronavirus outbreak the Personal Interviews of the candidates who had cracked the UPSC Main September 2019 exams.

The UPSC had earlier published the UPSC Civil Services Personal Interview Schedule 2020 of all the 2,300 candidates selected after the UPSC Main exam 2019.

According to which the UPSC was scheduled to conduct the Personal Tests from February 17 to April 3, 2020. However all interviews scheduled after March 23 are cancelled, multiple media reports said citing UPSC sources.

"The new date and interview schedule will be announced after March 31, 2020", the UPSC sources said.

UPSC Civil Services Recruitment process consists of three steps; UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam, UPSC Civil Services Main Exam and UPSC Civil Services Interview.

The final merit list and selection is done on the basis of a candidate's score in Personal Interview as well as written exam i.e. Civil Services Main examination.

Besides UPSC exams, board exams conducted by CBSE and state boards, JEE Main conducted by NTA and other exams are also deferred because of Coronavirus.
