Delhi EWS/DG Admission 2020: The release of the EWS/DG Second List for admission in Delhi nursery schools for the academic year 2020-21 is likely to be delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Delhi Education had released the EWS/DG First List 2020 on February 29, 2020. The list was published on the department's website http://edudel.nic.in. after the 1st computerised draw of lots, sometime also referred as lottery.
The parents were also informed via SMS and email about the selection of their wards in the first round of Delhi Admission 2020 in Nursery/Pre-school, KG/Pre-primary and Class 1.
The parents were also asked to approach the schools with the necessary documents and confirm the admission of their wards on or before March 31, 2020.
Accordingly, it was expected that the draw for the Delhi Nursery Admission Second round will be conducted in the first week of April, 2020 when the EWS/DG second list will also be published on the website.
But due to the closure of all schools till March 31, 2020 due to Coronavirus outbreak, there is no way the admission formalities could be completed by the announced due date.
Hence it is most likely that the draw of lots for EWS/DG category for the second round of Delhi school admission will be delayed and release of the second list for EWS/DG admission will be published later, though official communication in this regard is still awaited.
Directorate of Education (DoE) Delhi has started from Saturday January 25, 2020 receiving online admission form through its website edudel.nic.in under EWS/DG and Children with Disabilities Category.
The Admission Form under EWS/DG/Free ship and Children with Disabilities Category was submitted online. The last date of submission of online form was February 24, 2020.
The First List of Delhi Nursery School Admission for the Academic Year 2020-21 for Open Seats was published on Friday January 24, 2020.
