Moscow: Tucker Carlson, renowned journalist who was earlier working with Fox News, has concluded his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, BBC reported citing Kremlin.
According to CNBC, Tucker Carlson has also released a teaser of the Putin’s first ever interview given to a Western journalist.
Tucker Carlson Putin Interview Broadcast Date and Time
The interview, believed to be most watched interview in recent days, will be broadcast on Tucker Carlson’s website "tuckercarlson.com" and his X account at 18:00 Washington Time Thursday February 08, 2024.
Tucker Carlson had earlier said Elon Musk, CEO of social media platform X, originally launched as Twitter, had promised him to publish the entire interview uncut and uncensored.
Will other American media houses will publish the interview? It is doubtful as Tucker Carlson is facing sanction by the European Union (EU) for interviewing Putin in the midst of the Ukraine war.
Tucker Carlson is also being criticised at home.
Tucker Carlson slams Western media
In the counter offensive, Tucker Carlson called the Western Media houses corrupt and liars, and accused them of hiding the facts.
Tucker Carlson also justified his interview with Putin, for which he was trying to seek an appointment since last four years according to some reports, saying the Americans are unaware of facts and they have the right to know the truth.
"The populations of the English-speaking countries seem mostly unaware. Their media outlets are corrupt. They lie to the readers and viewers", Tucker Carlson said in a video titled “Why I’m interviewing Vladimir Putin" posted on X.
"The interviews [Zelensky has] done in the US are not traditional interviews, they are fawning pep sessions specifically designed to amplify Zelensky’s demands that the US enter more deeply into a war in eastern Europe and pay for it.
"That is not journalism. It is government propaganda of the ugliest kind," he said.
Meanwhile, social media is flooded with Putin’s old interviews and also some clips wrongly claiming to be the teaser and preview of Putin’s interview with former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson.
