San Mateo (California): An Indian-American family of four was found dead inside their home in California's San Mateo Tuesday Feb 13, 2024 in an incident that the authorities suspect is a possible murder-suicide.
But, according to NBC News, the members of the family originally hailing from Kerala were identified as 42-year-old Anand Sujith Henry, his 40-year-old wife Alice Benziger, and their four-year-old twin boys.
The husband and wife have the gunshots on their dead bodies found in the bathroom. On the other hand, the dead bodies of the twins were found in a bedroom with no sign of injuries or use of force, media reports said citing the local police officials.
Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said the police believe the boys were smothered, strangled or given a lethal overdose, as reported by NBC Bay Area.
There was no note left at the scene, and at this point, the police do not have a motive, the NBC report said.
The family had been living in the United States for the past nine years. Anand, a Software Engineer, and Alice, a Senior Analyst, had relocated from New Jersey to San Mateo County two years ago.
According to court records, Anand had filed for divorce in December 2016, but the separation did not go through in court.
