Massive outrage as video of ‘Israeli’ guard pointing gun at burning Aaron Bushnell goes viral

Washington: Hundreds of protesters assembled outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington Tuesday accused the far-right Zionist regime of ‘war crimes’, and expressed their outrage over a guard pointing gun at burning Aaron Bushnell who set himself on fire in protest against the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

The self-immolation of Aaron Bushnell in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington - live streamed on social media Sunday, in protest against the US support to Israel and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli Occupying Forces, has sent shockwaves in entire United States of America.

While on his way to the Israeli Embassy, Aaron Bushnell, a member of the US Air Force, said ‘he will longer be complicit in the genocide’ and yelled ‘Free Palestine’ a number of times before falling on the ground with his body engulfed in flames.

Rescue team and fire fighters with extinguishers reached to save Aaron Bushnell as his body was engulfed in flames. However, before them came a guard pointing his gun at burning US soldier.

'Earthshaking Impact'

People from different walks of life are saluting him for his “courageous act” whereas vigil and solidarity sit-ins are being held since Sunday in various parts of the country.

On Monday, close to 300 people gathered in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington whereas hundreds other gathered at Times Square in New York with banners displaying, “We will never forget Aaron Bushnell” and “Rest in Power Aaron Bushnell" banners.

Protesters at the Times Square also laid on the ground a white sheet written with the names of Palestinians massacred by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

“One of the main reasons the self-immolation of Aaron Bushnell is having such an earthshaking impact on our society is because it's the single most profound act of sincerity that any of us have ever witnessed”, Tim Foley, said in a commentary.

The protesters while hailing Aaron Bushnell are condemning an “Israeli” guard who pulled his gun instead of fire extinguisher to save burning Aaron Bushnell.

“You killed that man! You pulled your guns out instead of a fire extinguisher!” a protester outside the Israeli Embassy said.

“All of you, all of you the war criminals”, she said as the security staff are seen standing on guard outside the embassy.

“Still today, I don't understand how a police officer can pull out and point a gun to a burning person. Maybe he wanted to extinguish the fire with his gun”, another protesters said.

"Aaron Bushnell sacrificed his life to create a symbol of refused compliance with genocide, and inadvertently created a second symbol, the most succinct of our time - one man screams for a fire extinguisher, another knows only how to aim a gun at at an unresponsive man in flames", DJ Live Action Ratatouille wrote on social media platform X.

"The image of a cop pointing his gun at Aaron Bushnell as he burns to death is truly the most succinct encapsulation of the brutality he died protesting against. His agonized calls for Palestinian freedom should haunt every public official who’s enabled these atrocities (sic)", Journalist Nikki Mccann Ramírez said.

"This image of a police officer training his gun on Aaron Bushnell, ostensibly to protect the embassy of the Zionist entity is a perfect metaphor of the US and its drive to protect Israel even at the expense of its own citizens", a social media users wrote.

Following the outrage local media went in damage control claiming that the guard pointing gun at Aaron Bushnell and seen in the viral video is not “Israeli” but is U.S. Secret Service (USSS) Uniformed Division personnel.
