FYJC 2024 Part 2 Form Filling: The Directorate of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary) Maharashtra is set to start from Wednesday June 05, 2024 FYJC Part 2 Form filling (option form submission) for admission to Class 11 in junior colleges of the five metro cities of the state.
“Preference filling i.e. online submission of Option Form Part-2 for Regular Round will start on June 05, 2025”, the Education Department said in a single line message posted on the official website.
The Maharashtra Education Department has not yet released the detailed admission schedule for Class 11 or FYJC 2024 round-wise seat allotment and allocation for CAP and Quota seats.
It means that the latest notification released is only for online filling of Part-II (Preferences and Choices). The schedule for actual admission will be announced soon.
Admission in First Year Junior College or Class 11 in Mumbai MMR,
Pune, Nashik, Amravati and Nagpur is done in online mode.
The admission process starts with filling of Part 1 Form. FYJC Part 1 Form contains the basic details like name, school details, address, contact information etc.
Since Part 1 form does not seek information related to SSC or Class 10 marks, the state education department started from May 24, 2024 - three days before the announcement of the board exam result.
Part 1 form is filled when a student registers him or her for participation in FYJC or Class 11 admission counselling.
Following steps are involved while student registration i.e. Part 1 form filling.
Part 2 or Option form is filled to submit the college preferences. Candidates should note that allotment will be based on the marks obtained in the SSC or Class 10 board exams and preference submitted through the FYJC option form.
The state education department has confirmed the start date of Part 2 option form filling. It has not confirmed the last date.
FYJC Part 2 Form filling, also knows as CAP Option Form for students, involves entry of marks students have obtained in the class 10.
The Maharashtra education department had earlier started Mock Demo Registration from May 22, 2024 to make students familiar with the admission process. The last date of mock registration was May 23, 2024.
Students who had done mock registration should note that they have to register and fill part 1 form afresh as the all registrations done during mock process and the related data have been deleted before the actual registration which has started from today.
"Mock Demo data will be erased before actual registration starting on May 24, 2024", the department said.
Maharashtra conducts FYJC Centralised Online Admission Process in five cities that include Mumbai MMR, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik and Amravati. Class 11 admission was done in Aurangabad in online mode till 2020. It is however stopped since 2021 for unknown reason.
