TN NEET UG Counselling 2026 Registration, Choice Filling Starts - Steps, Link
The Directorate of Medical Education Tamil Nadu (DME Tamil Nadu) has started through its official website 'tnmedicalselection.net' Online Registration of the students wishing to participate in TN MBBS / BDS Counselling for NEET UG 2026 based admission in different Medical Courses for the academic year 2026-27
Tamil Nadu MBBS / BDS Admission Counselling 2026: The Directorate of Medical Education Tamil Nadu (DME Tamil Nadu) has started through its official website 'tnmedicalselection.net' Online Registration of the students wishing to participate in TN MBBS / BDS Counselling for NEET UG 2026 based admission in different Medical Courses for the academic year 2026-27.
Along with the registration, the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has also asked candidates to submit choices and college preferences using the online form available on the official website.
TN NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule
Candidates participating in TN NEET UG 2026 (MBBS and BDS) Round 1 Counselling should note that the Online registration has started from today i.e. Thursday August 13, 2026.
Candidates should note that NEET UG counselling in Tamil Nadu has started for both Government and Management quota seats.
"Online applications are invited for Government Quota as well as Management Quota for admission to MBBS / BDS Degree Courses in Tamil Nadu for 2026-2027 starting from Thursday August 13, 2026", TN Medical Selection Committee said in a notification released on Tuesday.
"Online application can be downloaded from the websites www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and www.tnmedicalselection.org", it said.
The last date of application for both is August 19, 2026 up to 06:00 PM.
The DME Tamil Nadu will publish on August 21, 2026 the TN NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Allotment Result.
TN NEET UG Counselling 2026 - Registration Steps
- Go to official website: 'tnmedicalselection.net'.
- Click on the drop down menu tab marked as "UG Courses".
- Here, click on the link "CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR MBBS / BDS DEGREE COURSE 2026-2027 SESSION".
- Select "Government Quota" or "Management / NRI Quota" as per your choice.
- Click on "Online Application" and follow the instruction and complete online registration.
Candidates should note that application will be accepted in online mode only.
Candidates who are participating the online choice filling for MBBS & BDS Degree Courses should note that they will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.
Candidates should also remember that they can edit their choices any number of times before locking, But once locked they will not be allowed to edit. Hence candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking.
Tamil Nadu NEET UG Admission Counselling 2026 - Important Dates
- Date of Notifiction: June 29, 2026.
- Release of Rank List: August 10, 2026
- Online registration/choice filling and locking start date: August 13, 2026.
- Last date of registration/choice filling/locking: August 19, 2026.
- Processing of allotment: August 20, 2026.
- TN NEET UG 2026 Seat allotment result: August 21, 2026
- Downloading of allotment order/letter: August 22 to 28, 2026
- Date of joining: August 23 to 28, 2026
- Closure of admission: As per NMC norms.
Candidates should note that the details relating to the application fee, eligibility, etc., are available in the prospectus published in the official websites mentioned above.
TN MBBS / BDS Rankwise Counselling
Candidates should also note that the TN Medical Selection Committee had published the Rank List (Merit List) on August 10, 2026. The counselling will be held based on the rank of the candidates. The rank of the candidates are GR 001 to GR 35,926 having their NEET UG 2026 score from 705 to 177.
The DME Tamil Nadu has also released on the official website list of candidates eligible for MBBS (medical) and BDS (dental) counselling. The lists of eligible candidates are released category-wise.
The completed printout of filled-in online application form for Special Category as hard copy (Persons with disability, Ex-servicemen and Sports Quota along with necessary enclosures as mentioned in the concerned Prospectus should reach The Secretary, Selection Committee, No:162, Periyar E.V.R. High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai - 600 010 on or before 10.07.2023 by 5.00 P.M.
