New Delhi:
The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Civil Services
(Preliminary) Examination for this year on May 23 for recruitment to
the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian
Police Service and other Group 'A' and 'B' central services posts.
According
to the Union Public Service Commission, for the examination, which
will be held at various centres across the country, candidates will
have to apply in the Common Application Form devised by the
Commission.
The forms
can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices,
besides printed in advertisements of Employment News/Rozgar Samachar,
throughout the country.
All
applications must reach the 'Secretary, Union Public Service
Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi 110 069, either
by hand, Post/Speed Post or
Courier,
on or before February 1.
However,
for candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas, the last
date for receipt of application 'by Post/Speed Post only' will be
February 8.

Commission's website at, www.upsc.gov.in, the Commission added.
