Social reformer Anna Hazare has a word of advice for chief
ministers across the country -- replicate the development work
done by Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi.
"The work done by chief ministers of Bihar (Nitish Kumar) and
Gujarat (Narendra Modi) should be done by chief ministers of all
states," Anna Hazare said at a press conference here Sunday, a day
after he ended his five-day long fast demanding civil society's
participation in formulating an anti-graft Lokpal Bill.
"I am not in support of any party, but the work they (Modi and
Nitish Kumar) have done at the grassroots level is needed. The
rural development they have done should be imitated," he said,
adding, "I will not go into politics of this."
He said despite his appreciation of the two leaders, he will
consider any chief minister good only when they pass the Lokayukta
(ombudsman) bills in their states.
