Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan launched the Mumbai edition of the Malayalam Daily 'Madhyamam' at a function here.

Oscar winning sound recordist Resul Pookutty released the special supplement of the newspaper at the function yesterday.

Former editor of Times of India and Director of the School of Geopolitics, Manipal University, M D Nalapat, senior journalist P K Ravindranath, Chairman of Madhyamam Publications T Arifali and editor O Abdurahman were present on this occasion.

Madhyamam is published from nine centres in India (Mumbai is the 10th) and nine centres in the Middle East.

It will be the fourth major Malayalam daily published from Mumbai, the others being Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi and Kalakaumudi.
