Jeddah: Three of 30,177 Haj pilgrims who have arrived from India have died, the Indian Consulate General said Friday.

A total of 11 flights have come from India so far, bringing 1,829 pilgrims to Makkah and the remaining are in Madina, the mission said.

"As of (Friday), three pilgrims have expired out of which two came through the Haj Committee of India and one through a private tour operator," it said in a statement.
