New Delhi:
An Indian national claiming to be a freelance journalist has been
arrested in connection with the attack on an Israeli diplomat here
last month and will be produced in a Delhi court Wednesday, police
said.
"Mohammed Kazmi, in his early 50s, was arrested Tuesday night from
south Delhi. He will be produced in the Tis Hazari court Wednesday
afternoon," a police official said.
Delhi Police said it has "almost cracked the case". Four people
were injured when an Israeli diplomat's car was hit by a bomb near
the Israeli embassy in the capital Feb 13.
Tal Yehoshua Koren, wife of the Israeli defence attache, suffered
multiple injuries when a motorcycle rider attached a magnetic
explosive device to her car and sped away. Within seconds, the
device exploded with a thunderous sound, setting the car on fire.
Koren moved back to Israel after getting treatment at a private
south Delhi hospital. Three others injured were discharged after
being given medical attention.
