13 die in Kerala accident

Malappuram (Kerala): Thirteen people were killed when a speeding mini bus rammed into a tree and toppled while trying to overtake another vehicle here Friday, police said.
At least 24 others were injured in the accident that occurred near Perinthalamanna, about 450 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Transport Minister Aryadan Mohammed told the media.
The dead included the bus driver and 11 women, seven of them students.
