Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh unit of Shiv Sena has expressed opposition to the 'Ghar Wapsi' campaign launched by the RSS affiliates. However, the right wing Hindu party has reasons different from those who are considering the 'conversion' as a threat to the secularism and right to pratcise religion as envisioned in the Indian constitution.
[Simultaneously with 'Ghar Wapsi' campaign of Muslims, the Hindutva outfits are also running campaigns to re-convert Christians to Hinduism.]
"Hindus have always had a calm nature and have always respected other religions but Muslims are fanatics and revolting in nature. If Muslims convert or reconvert to Hinduism and then marry Hindus, it will lead to genetic abnormalities in the Hindu community", Shiv Sena Uttar Pradesh head Anil Singh said while talking to a news channel.
Singh also said that actual 'Ghar Wapsi' of Muslims is to send them off to Pakistan.
"We welcome ghar wapasi (homecoming) only if it means that they (Muslims) are sent to Pakistan, because (Mohammad Ali) Jinnah has already created a home for them. It is time both nations exchange Hindus and Muslims, it is the only solution to this problem," he said.
Singh went on saying that Shiv Sena was all for the two nation theory as propagated Mohammad Ali Jinnah who wanted a separate nation for Muslims.
"BJP's lotus (the election symbol) has withered. Our bow and arrow will not accept any one from other religion," he said in symbolic terms.
Anil Singh's statement came after an alleged forced conversion of 57 Muslim familes in Agra earlier this month sparked a political row, even stalling the parliament proceedings.
The Dharma Jagran Manch-an offshoot of RSS, and other Hindu outfits are planning more re-conversions of Muslims and Hindus in coming days in Uttar Pradesh with nearest event planned on December 25 in Aligarh.
