Kolkata: Thousands of student who appeared for the West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 were up for a shock when the logged in to West Bengal JEE website to check their results but found the website not working.
Multiple reports had earlier informed that the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will declare the results of West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 on its official website today i.e. Sunday June 2016.
The West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 results will be declared today exactly at 04:00 pm, the reports carried by different media groups had said.
The West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 results were supposed to be declared on board's official website "www.wbjeeb.nic.in".
However the above website is down when ummid.com checked it last at 04:00 pm Sunday.
"I am trying to log in to the above mentioned website where the results are supposed to be published online today at 04:00. But, I couldn't log in to the website", Akshay Basu, a student, said.
Interestingly, some students tried to check their results on "wbjeeb.in". But this site is also reportedly crashed. Some students said they got the message, "Resource Limit Is Reached - The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later", when they logged in to webjeeb.in.
Finally, when the students logged in to "results.westbengaleducation.net", they found the West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 results there.
Students who appeared for the West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination Result 2016 can access their results directly by clicking on the above mentioned link.
How to check West Bengal WBJEE 2016 results:
- Access the board’s official website: results.westbengaleducation.net/WBJEE.
- Enter your details such as roll number and date of birth in the respected fields.
- Click on ‘Get My Result’ tab.
- Your results will appear on the screen
The West Bengal WBJEE Engineering Stream Examination 2016 was held on May 17 this year. The applicants who pass the written test will then be called for the interview round.
This year a lot of medical students could not appear for the WBJEE as Supreme Court had decided to replace state-level medical entrance examination with NEET. Hence, West Bengal WBJEE Medical Stream Examination 2016 have been postponed to July 20.
The West Bengal joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed as West Bengal Board of Examinations for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges in the year 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges of the State of West Bengal.
The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, 2016 also known as WBJEEM-2016 is conducted for admission to Engineering / Architecture / Pharmacy Degree Courses in Universities / Colleges in West Bengal.
