Kadappa (Andhra Pradesh): A 32-year-old man, identified as Maruti Reddy, was on Thursday hacked to death by two persons while the bystanders watched without helping the victim and instead recording the horrific incident using their smartphones in Kadappa, Andhra Pradesh.
The two attackers have surrendered but the incident has exposed once again the inhuman side of the people who instead of intervening to stop the attackers preferred to watch and film a man being hacked to death in front of their eyes.
The shocking incident occurred near a court in Produttur town.
In the visuals widely shared on social media, B Maruti Reddy is seen being pulled out of a rickshaw by the two attackers, one of them later holding the victim down while the other repeatedly striking him with a machete.
Local police said Reddy's sister was in a relationship with the brother-in-law of the killers and because of this there was a constant fight between the two families.
Further probe into the incident is underway, the police said.
