Kanpur: IIT Kanpur, the official authority to conduct the JEE Advanced 2018 has released online the official notification giving the details of exam centers, syllabus, fees, eligibility and time table of the mandatory test for admission to various IITs.
The IIT Kanpur had earlier declared that JEE Advanced 2018 will be held on Sunday May, 02, 2018.
“The JEE (Advanced) 2018 will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The entire JEE (Advanced) 2018 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode”, the IIT Kanpur said.

JEE Advanced Online Registration
According to the JEE Advanced 2018 bulletin, the online registration for the entrance exam will start on May 02 and the last date to apply will be May 07. The last date to pay the fee is May 08.

The JEE (Advanced) 2018 will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The entire JEE (Advanced) 2018 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode.

Students vying for admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded institutions need to clear the JEE Mains test to qualify for the JEE Advanced. The government had earlier introduced the option of taking the JEE Mains test online, and the JAB has now decided to extend it to the Advanced exam.

The IIT Kanpur while announcing the new criteria for JEE Advanced 2018 had earlier said that to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2018 a candidate should be among the top 224,000 - including all categories, in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum.
In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to pursue B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs B. Tech. students also have the option to pursue Interdisciplinary Dual Degree, with Bachelors in parent Department and Masters in some other Department.
