UGC NET June 2019 Date and Schedule: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the schedule of UGC NET 2018 to be held in the month of June 2019. NTA UGC NET June 2019 will be held only in Online Mode.
"The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct next UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both’ in June 2019. The test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in a single three hour duration", the UGC NET June 2019 Notification said.
According to the NTA Schedule, UGC NET June will be held from June 20 to 28, 2019 in Online Computer based test.
The National testing Agency (NTA) further said online registration for NTA UGC NET 2June 2019 will start on March 01, 2019. Last date to apply for NTA UGC NET 2019 June is March 30, 2019. All registered candidates will be able to download their NTA UGC NET 2019 June Admit Cards from April 15, 2019. NTA UGC NET 2019 June Results will be declared bu July 15, 2019.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had last conducted the UGC NET in the month of December 2018.
In a significant change, NTA UGC NET 2019 June will be held over many days and students will have the option to choose a date.
UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Candidates who qualify for the JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.
The award of JRF and eligibility for assistant professor’s post depends on the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. However, candidates qualifying exclusively for an assistant professor are not considered for JRF.
Candidates who have scored at least 55% in their master’s degree are eligible for NET.
NTA is also establishing a countrywide network of Test Practice Centres (TPCs) for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam. (2,697) Schools/engineering colleges with computer centres are being made available on every Saturday/Sunday starting from 1st September, 2018. Any student can use the facility free of charge. An App is being developed which will enable the students to choose the nearest TPC.
The TPCs will have a downloaded Computer Based Test (CBT) which will be similar to the actual test to be conducted on the exam day. The practice tests will help the candidates to familiarize themselves with logging into the system, going through the detailed instructions regarding the test, using the mouse or numeric keyboard on screen (virtual) for attempting each question, scrolling down to the next question, navigating between questions, reviewing and editing their options and submit questions.
