Haj 2020: Selected pilgrims should deposit Advance Haj Amount before Feb 15

Haj Committee First Installment Payment Date

Haj 2020 Payment: The Haj Committee of India has asked all Haj pilgrims who have been selected after the Haj 2020 Qurrah - draw of lots, held by various State Haj Committees to deposit Rs.81,000/- as Advance Haj Amount and submit the pay-in-slip along with original passport and photographs on or before February 15, 2020.

“All provisionally selected pilgrims are required to deposit Advance Haj Amount of Rs.81,000/- each. A unique Bank Reference Number provided to each cover must be mentioned in the Remittance Receipt", the Haj Committee of India said.

“After depositing the amount of Rs.81,000/-, the provisionally selected pilgrims shall submit a copy of the pay-in-slip, medical certificate along with original passport and one photograph to their respective state Haj committees by or before February 15, 2020, failing which their Haj seat will be cancelled", the Central Haj Committee said.

The Haj Committee of India has fixed the last date to deposit First Balance Amount of Rs. l,20,000/- each as March 15, 2020.

"Selected pilgrims however can sumbit Advance Haj Amount of Rs.81,000/- and First Balance Amount of Rs. l,20,000/- together", it said.

"Third installment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount in Dollars, Saudi expenses in Saudi Riyal and will be intimated later. The details of expenditure for Haj 2020 for respective Embarkation and Accommodation Category will be displayed on the Haj Committee of India website", the apex body controlling the Hajj affairs in India said.

Steps to make Haj 2020 Advance Amount and First Balance Amount

Payments can be made either:

  1. Online Mode through Haj Committee of India website: hajcommittee.gov.in.
  2. Directly to Haj Committee of India account No. 32175020010 FEE TYPE-25
    maintained with SBI; or account No. 318702010406009 (Haj Account) maintained with UBI through any branch of SBl/UBI having core Banking System.
  3. By cheque of any branch of SBI/UBI in the respective Bank.

How to check Unique Bank Reference Number

Selected pilgrims whose names figured in the final list drawn after the Qurrah can check Unique Bank Reference Number by following the steps given below:

  1. Go to Haj Committee of India website by clicking here: hajcommittee.gov.in.
  2. Brwose to the bottom of home page and look for the area similar to the one shown belowHajj 2020 Cover Check
  3. Enter your Cover No in the box. Your Cover No should start with your state code.
  4. Click on the Down Arraow from 'Select State' menu and select your state.
  5. Enter Passport No in the box.
  6. Click on "Load" button.
  7. All relevant details along with Unique Bank Reference Number will appear on the computer or mobile phone screen.

After depositing the Advance amount the Provisionally Selected pilgrims shall submit a copy of the pay-in-slip, Chest X-ray report and Blood report along with Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate (as per format available in the Guidelines) to the concerned State Haj Committee on or before 15th February, 2020.

"Pilgrims selection shall be confirmed by Haj Committee of India upon uploading of Documents viz. HAF, pay-in-slip, Chest X ray report and Blood report along with Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate and their essential documents by State Haj Committee and receipt of passport, after due verification", the Haj Committee of India said.

Meanwhile, Haj Qurrah is being held in various states including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu and Kashimr, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Uttar Pradesh has alreadt published the list of 11,341 pilgrims selected for Haj 2020.
