After Kejriwal, Jyotiraditya Scindia reports Corona symptoms; admitted

Scindia and his mother are admitted on Monday and their Covid test results are still awaited

New Delhi: Former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia who recently joined the BJP and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia have been admitted to Max Super Speciality hospital here in Saket after they complained of throat irritation and also had fever -- both Covid-like symptoms.

Scindia and his mother both were admitted on Monday. Their Covid-19 test results are still awaited, sources said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had reported Covid-like symptoms on Monday. He was rushed to the hospital where his samples were sent for testing. The report is still awaited.

"Kejriwal is unwell. He is suffering from fever, cough and sore throat. He has isolated himself at home and is not taking part in any meeting", Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.

Kejriwal was last seen in a video conference on Sunday where he announced that the Delhi government hospitals would be reserved only for the residents of the national capital.

Before this, Kejriwal had chaired a cabinet meet on Sunday, which was attended by Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai, Satyendar Jain among others. Chief Secretary Vijay Dev had also participated in the meet. After Kejriwal fell sick, he cancelled all his programs and did not meet anyone.

Another politician in India who is infected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) is veteran DMK leader and MLA J. Anbazhagan.

According to the latest update, his condition is critical.
