MHT CET 2020: Maharashtra State CET Cell has once again postponed and deferred MHT-CET 2020 and MAH MCA CET 2020 scheduled to be held in the months of July and August, 2020.
Along with MHT-CET and MCA CET 2020, Maharashtra CET Cell has also postponed other entrance exams including MAH M.Arch CET 2020, MAH B.HMCT CET 2020, MAH M.HMCT CET 2020.
Citing the worsening Coronavirus situation in the state and India, Maharashtra CET Cell conducting the entrance exams under such a condition could be a health risk for the students.
"A number of students and their parents had approached the CET Cell and raised concerns over holding the entrance exams amid Corona scare", the CET Cell said.
"It is hence been decided to postpone the MHT CET 2020, MAH MCA CET 2020 and other entrance exams conducted by the Maharashtra CET Cell", it said.
MHT-CET 2020 was scheduled on the multiple dates viz. 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st July and 3rd, 4th & 5th Aug 2020.
On the other hand, MAH MCA CET 2020 along with MAH M.Arch CET 2020, MAH B.HMCT CET 2020, MAH M.HMCT CET 2020 was scheduled to be held on Sunday July 19.
According to the latest update, all these entrance exams now stand postponed.
"The new dates of conducting these entrance tests will be notified soon", the Maharashtra CET Cell said.
MAH CET 2020, also known as MHT CET 2020 conducted for Bachelor in Engineering or Technology/Bachelor in Pharmacy, is being held in Online Mode i.e Computer Based Test (CBT) since 2019.
MCA CET 2020 in Maharashtra will be conducted for admission to First Year/Direct Second Year (Separate Division & Lateral Entry) of Three- year full time Post Graduate Degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.s
