Madhya Pradesh Coronavirus Latest Update: A journalist in the state capital Bhopal Wednseday March 25 tested positive for Coronavirus or Covid-19 as the World Health Organisation (WHO) has named the deadly virus.
The journalist tested positive for Coronavirus after his daughter was found infected with Covid-19 few days ago.
The journalist had attended the press conference of Kamal Nath last week when he was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Kamal Nath resigned as CM after about 26 Congress MLAs, including 06 ministers, rebelled against him and joined the BJP.
All those who came in contact with the journalist have now been quarantined, government health department sources said.
Among the 15 cases of Coronavirus positive in Madhya Pradesh, 04 new cases are from Indore and 01 is from Ujjain.
Indore District Magistrate Lokesh Jatav said these patients have been kept under medical observation and are stable. Sources said that three of the new coronavirus positive patients were from one family and had recently gone to Rishikesh in Uttar Pradesh. Authorities were now trying to trace all those who came in contact with them. Jatav has appealed to the people to observe the lockdown and warned of strict action against those who failed to pay heed to orders. Earlier, six coronavirus positive cases were reported from Jabalpur (6), and one each from Bhopal, Gawalior, and Shivpuri.
Across India, more than 550 people have contracted the newly detected virus whereas 11 people have lost their life due to Covid-19 infection.
