Saudi Pro League 2026-27: The reigning Champions Al Nassr FC, and Al Hilal began their Saudi Pro League 2026-27 (SPL 26/27) campaign with convincing victories.
SPL 26/27 Opening Match
The Saudi Pro League latest season (SPL 2026-27) was opened on August 13, 2026 and will continue till May 29, 2027.
In between, the tournament will have a break from December 24, 2026 to February 07, 2027 for Asia Cup 2027.
The official sponsor of the Saudi Pro League latest season remains Roshn Saudi League (RSL).
The first match of the 26/27 Saudi Pro League Season on August 13, 2026 was played between Abha vs Al-Hazem. Al Hazem defeated Abha 2-1 with Abdulaziz al Duwaihi and Ahmed Al Shamrani shining hitting one goal each.
Al-Nassr vs Al Fateh
Starting its Saudi Pro League 2026-27 campaign on August 15, 2026, Al-Nassr Saudi FC defeated Al Fateh 3-1.
Joao Felix, Angelo Gabriel and Samu Costa hit a goal each to convincingly defeat Al Fateh in both teams’ SPL 2026/27 opening match.

Karim Benzema’s Al Hilal Saudi FC defeated Al-Faisaly in its opening match of the Saudi Pro League 2026/27 played on August 14, 2026. Al-Hilal defeated Al-Faisaly 4-2, thanks to the brace scored by Rubin Neves.
Karim Benzema and Malcom also scored for Al Hilal whereas Alexandre Mendy and Theo Bongonda did the task for Al-Faisaly.
Al Hilal entered the Saudi Pro League 2026/27 campaign seeking to go one better after finishing runners-up to rivals Al Nassr in a dramatic 2025-26 title race despite going unbeaten throughout the league season.
Al Hilal will now face Al-Fayha in its next SPL 26/27 clash on Thursday August 20, 2026. Al Fayha vs Al Hilal SPL 26-27 match will be played at King Salman Sport City Stadium, Al Majma’ah.
In other SPL 26-27 matches, Al Ahli Saudi FC, Al Ettifaq, Al-Qadsiah and Neom also started their RSL 2026-27 campaign winning their opening matches.
